The following is about the Sandblasting process:
1. Preparation stage
The first step of Sandblasting treatment is to make adequate preparations. First, check the stainless steel products to be treated to ensure that there is no serious damage, deformation or other defects on the surface. Then, according to the size and shape of the product, choose a suitable fixing method to keep it stable during the sandblasting process. At the same time, prepare the equipment required for sandblasting, such as sandblasting guns, compressed air sources, etc., and choose suitable sandblasting materials, such as quartz sand and corundum. It is also necessary to ensure that the workplace is well ventilated to prevent the dust generated during the sandblasting process from causing harm to the operator.
2. Surface cleaning
Before sandblasting, the surface of the stainless steel product must be thoroughly cleaned. If there is oil, dust or other impurities on the surface, it will affect the sandblasting effect. Organic solvents can be used for cleaning to remove oil; for dust, etc., compressed air can be used for blowing. The surface of the cleaned stainless steel product should be dry and free of impurities, ready for sandblasting.
3. Sandblasting operation
Next is the core link of sandblasting. Load the prepared sandblasting material into the sandblasting equipment, and adjust the sandblasting pressure, sandblasting angle, and the distance between the nozzle and the surface of the stainless steel product. Generally speaking, the sandblasting pressure depends on the material of the product and the required surface effect, and is usually adjusted within a certain range. The sandblasting angle can be selected according to the roughness and texture to be achieved, and different angles will produce different effects. Then, start the sandblasting equipment and spray the sandblasting material evenly onto the surface of the stainless steel product. During the sandblasting process, the nozzle should be moved continuously to ensure that the entire surface can be evenly treated. At the same time, pay attention to observe the sandblasting effect and adjust the sandblasting parameters in time according to the actual situation.
4. Post-processing
After the sandblasting is completed, the stainless steel product needs to be post-processed. First, remove the residual sandblasting material on the surface, which can be cleaned with compressed air blowing or vacuum cleaner. Then, check the product to see if the expected surface effect has been achieved. If necessary, further processing such as polishing, coating, etc. can be carried out. Finally, the treated stainless steel products are packaged and stored to prevent them from being contaminated or damaged. During the entire process, operators must strictly abide by safety operating procedures and wear protective equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of the sandblasting process.
